At The Law Office of Benjamin B. Kandy LLC, we focus on representing plaintiffs primarily in wage and hour disputes such as unpaid overtime or minimum wage, and with problems stemming from leave taken under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) .
Attorney Benjamin Bartholomew Kandy received his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College and his law degree from Emory University School of Law. Prior to entering law school, Ben received invaluable experience with workplace issues as an organizer with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. While in Law School, Ben was the President of Emory’s Labor and Employment Law Society, and he worked to help resolve legal issues as a caseworker with Student Legal Services. Ben also worked in the Legal Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission helping to review charges and advise the Commission’s attorneys as to what actions they should pursue.
Following law school, Ben worked at a prominent midtown Atlanta employment law firm and focused full time on representing plaintiffs in employment law matters. Ben was able to successfully resolve many cases for his clients, ranging from overtime, to race discrimination in the workplace, and sexual harassment.
In 2012, Ben opened The Law Office of Benjamin B. Kandy LLC, to assist his clients with recovering unpaid overtime and minimum wage as well as clients who have had their right to take protected FMLA leave interfered with by their employer.
Ben is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Georgia chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
